KATE ROEBUCK IS AN ARTIST LIVING AND WORKING IN CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE.
Largely influenced by her background in textile design, artist Kate Roebuck finds inspiration in form, pattern, color, and texture. Exploring these classical themes, she seeks to create open-ended visual dialogue and to shed light on the ever-evolving relationship of the creator and the created.
Drawing from nature and everyday life, Kate’s work is both bold and quirky, an interpretation undoubtedly all her own. Her world is best described as witty, unconventional, and rhythmic, chasing the elusive balance of playfulness and precision.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kate has lived in the south for nearly a decade. The slower pace of life in the south leaves her with ample time to create.
Working from Kates original paintings rendered in ink, gouache, watercolor, acrylic or flashe, each pattern is created from start to finish by hand— one woman’s hand in fact.
The patterns are then sent to a digital printer in North Carolina where they are lovingly and carefully printed.
Printed on heavyweight montgomery linen— a beautiful 100% linen perfect for curtains, pillows, and upholstery. We recommend against splitting your order up as dye lots can always slightly vary. Samples are available though the textile shop, though again keeping in mind that there can always be slight variations in color. There is a 3 yard minimum on all textile orders — each piece is printed to order just for you.
